About Wave Systems
Software for ports, terminals, rail, transport and logistics since 1999, and part of the Complexica group since June 2023.
Wave Systems is an Australian company specialising in enterprise software for the maritime, transportation and logistics industries. Its WaveSCM™ platform plans and runs the daily work of ports and terminals, rail operators, transport companies, empty container parks and warehouses, and WaveSCM Decision Cloud® adds AI optimisers that work on the same operational record.
Our history
Peter Pokorny founded Wave Systems in 1999 as a provider of software applications for the transportation and logistics industry. As a family-owned business, it developed applications for marine terminals, empty container parks and inland container depots, railway networks and transport companies, including the original TMSPro and FACT products.
Wave Systems then developed WaveSCM, a complete, fully integrated platform for end users and their customers. Since its general release, WaveSCM has gone live with DP World Logistics at its Yennora multimodal terminal, with Ifira Ports Development Services in Vanuatu, and with Aurizon, whose move from TMSPro to WaveSCM Logistics Enterprise now spans more than 30 sites.
Part of Complexica
In June 2023, Wave Systems was acquired by Complexica Pty Ltd, the Adelaide-based provider of Artificial Intelligence software for optimising sales, marketing and supply chain activities. Wave Systems is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Complexica and part of its Ports & Logistics business unit.
The Wave Systems team works alongside Complexica’s professional services and AI teams. WaveSCM Decision Cloud is how Complexica’s AI-driven optimisation is brought into WaveSCM, in areas such as yard and transport planning, scheduling and operational decision support. Read more about Complexica.
